Heise Medien’s secIT has become one of the most important trade fairs for IT security experts. After the online edition in spring 2021, followed by three secIT Specials, the 2022 fair will again be held on site at the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC).

CYBERTRAP will be present on site with a booth and we will also offer an Expert Talk on both days with the topic “Be sure: You are already hacked – Detection and Isolation, so Deception supports”.

  • Expert Talk 1 on March 30, 2022 from 1pm to 2pm
  • Expert Talk 2 on March 31, 2022 from 10am to 11am

Carsten Keil and Tobias Schlattmann look forward to your visit 😊

Would you have known?

It takes up to 56 days on average for hacker attacks to be discovered in your own company.

The worst thing about it: not only do the intruders remain undetected for around 2 months, but they have a free hand in your network – without you ever finding out what they have done during this time. In the case of the publicised hacks at SolarWinds or FireEye, the hackers even remained undetected for 7 months. And this even though FireEye is one of the most renowned security companies.

CYBERTRAP Deception technology can evaluate attacks automatically and to connect individual (seemingly unrelated) events with each other. This reduces both the reaction time and time-consuming false alarms and thus the effort for the responsible IT managers in the company.

The sharp increase in home office workplaces in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic has further driven up the number and associated costs in the wake of data breaches. On average, the cost of a data breach worldwide is nearly $4 million (IBM Cost of a Data Breach Report 2021). The use of deception solutions can lead to cost savings of up to 51% in many cases, or an average of €62 per compromised record. Given the amount of customer and corporate data processed in companies, it quickly becomes clear that prevention is much more economical than feeling safe in the mass of companies. Because you must never forget: Hackers don’t have to justify who will be the next victim. And everyone started small once, which is why supposedly uninteresting SMEs are easy prey and thus the perfect playing field for the hackers of tomorrow.
